Instituto de Radioastronomía de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (INRAS-PUCP), with the support of the Vicerrectorado de Investigación, is organizing the National Small Satellite Competition 2025–2026 (CNPS), an academic initiative aimed at strengthening hands-ontraining and capacity building in the field of space technologies.
The call for participation received an overwhelmingly positive response, bringing together university students from across Peru—The coastal, Andean, and Amazonian regions—as well as teams from Colombia,Venezuela, and Bolivia. These participating teams take on the challenge of designing and developing a CubeSat mission under a multidisciplinary, project-based approach that integrates science, engineering, and technology.
The competition is carried out in two stages: a virtual phaseand an in-person phase. It is currently in the first stage, during which teamsare working on defining their missions, as well as designing and validating their systems, putting their technical and project management skills to the test.
Through the National Small Satellite Competition 2025–2026, INRAS-PUCP reaffirms its institutional commitment to the training of specialized talent and to the promotion of scientific and technological innovation in Peru.
