On July 16 and 17, 2026, the System Requirements Review (SRR) of the LINKU Project was conducted through a virtual meeting organized by the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO).
During the sessions, the team from the Institute for Radioastronomy of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (INRAS-PUCP) presented the progress and deliverables corresponding to this important milestone of the LINKU Project. The presentation was led by M.Sc. David Torres, together with students Rodrigo Laguna, from Mechatronics Engineering, and Sebastián Castillo and Ignacio Swayne, from Physics.
Also participating in the meeting on behalf of INRAS were Dr. Marco Milla, Director; M.Sc. Neils Vílchez, Research Projects Coordinator; and Eng. Rafael Vílchez, Researcher.
The presentations also included representatives from the Universidad Católica San Pablo (UCSP) and the National Institute for Research and Training in Telecommunications of the National University of Engineering (INICTEL-UNI). The documentation presented was reviewed and discussed together with representatives of APSCO Member States.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the representatives responsible for the review determined that the LINKU Project had successfully completed the SRR milestone and was ready to proceed to its next phase. They also highlighted the work carried out by the Peruvian team and expressed their support for the continued development of the project.
This achievement represents an important step forward for LINKU and strengthens the participation of INRAS-PUCP in international cooperation initiatives aimed at advancing space technology development.
