It is an academic unit whose essential purpose is to carry out research in Radio Astronomy, Astrophysics, Radio Science, Earth Sciences and Space Technologies.
To develop and promote, within an inter- and multidisciplinary approach, all those activities whose results allow to raise the level of knowledge about outer space phenomena.
Promote academic work, with support in terms of courses, seminars, visits of professors and researchers from other universities in the country and abroad, as well as research institutes related to the purposes and activities of the Institute.
